  Annotated Bibliography for Research Paper (Advance Residency Assignment assigned week prior to Residency) Purpose:  You will used these articles for your individual residency paper. Provide an annotated bibliography listing at least three different authoritative, outside references suitable for use in the residency research paper.   The research articles should address the same emerging trend in data analytics and business intelligence and how the trend is being applied in organizations currently . Articles you decide to include in for your annotated bibliograph work should be substantive, peer reviewed, come from the full-text University of Cumberlands library (so you can download it)  8-10 pages long, less than FIVE years old, and the subject matter must also be in your text.  Articles that are short, do not provide enough substance to be able to use for RESIDENCY project.  So the articles you seek out in this research and submit need to be 8-10 pages to have enough substance for you to be able to complete your Residency Paper (details on that will be released towards our residency date). The content of each  annotated  bibliography entry should be a solid 2 paragraphs long minimum. A title page should accompany the Annotated Bibliography followed by the entries.  An example of one entry for annotated bibliography is below. The three different sources must come from different Academic Journals. Submit your annotated bibliography as a Word document.   Also, you need to acquire full text or pdf copies of all articles and submit them with the annotated bibliography. You will submit the annotated bibliography along with the 3 full text articles in the same submission area  link with your annotated bibliography submitted first using the same submission link located in this module.  You click the link above next to the icon of the assignment to submit your work (upper left).  You no longer need to submit it to the group repository.  These Residency assignment has changed to an individual assignment.  These articles will be used for your own residency paper. The Annotated Bibliography is with 100 points. All are submitted to this link as different documents with the Annotate Bibliography submitted first. If you have any questions, please contact me EARLY in the week.  Make sure you have read the examples I have provided.  I can’t say enough that this assignments is quite important and you should put a lot of effort into it as well as follow my instructions above carefully.  Doing so will set you up for success at RESIDENCY.   Example:( below is the annotated bibliography to an article, then you would continue with the next article you chose, culminating in three entries on the annotated bibliography with the 3 full text articles the annotated bibliography refers to) Kambatla, K., Kollias, G., Kumar, V., & Grama, A. (2014). Trends In Big Data Analytics. Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 74(7), 2561-2573. According to Kambatla et al in their Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, there are emergent trends in big data analytics which are interesting and worthy of consideration even as we embrace the In-Memory Data Analytics. The authors point out that data analysis is s task that is not confined in fixed deadlines but is more focused on data quality. The quality data has to be in line with the storage systems that the organization chooses, and the In-Memory Data Analytics is by far the most recommended storage option in the market. It works perfectly in Multi-tenancy environments and data-centric areas. Moreover, Kambatla et al point out to the reader that using the in-memory data analytics to store information is a sure step in the process of ensuring there is better performance through the introduction of clustered computing frameworks and the large-scale data analytics tools. Then you would add another paragraph of how this is being applied in business to describing how the technology specifically relates with an example. Library Info & Access Handout AttachedAttached Files:  LIBRARY Information_Systems-Internet_Security_Database_Search.docx (1.907 MB) Hi Folks, How to access the library handout is attached.  The URL is below.   https://ucumberlands.libguides.com/security Additional GuidanceThe annotated bibliography IS the summary of each of the three articles.  See the example under the directions in week 11.Annotated bibliography along with the 3 fulltext articles should be submitted week 11.  Your full text articles that you find from research should be 8 or more pages (just in reading – you don’t write on those yet) so you have enough substance when you do write, from scholarly articles, pertaining to an Information Technology Trend which is also in some form of subject matter in your text (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, etc.) and how it applies to business today.  So if I  were a student want to write about Artificial Intelligence for my Residency paper (and more specific details will be released):1) I would search the University of Cumberlands Library for Artificial Intelligency fulltext articles within the last 5 years that pertained to business or applied to business and each article I found and read should be 8 or more pages of content (reading of each one).  For example: You can’t write on AI and how it pretains to  let’s say prosthetics.  It has to pertain to a business problem or concept.2) I would read the articles.3) I would write the annotated bibliography following the professor’s example in the content folder (This should be title page, 2 paragraphs for each article, criteria to include is in the example).4) Submit the annotated bibliography to the assignment link followed by…5) Then submitting the PDFs of each of the articles in their entirety – one at a time.6) You should end up with an 4 separate submissions to that assignment link – the annotated bibliography in a word document then a PDF of the original fulltext article.This is what’s due Week 11, THIS WEEK, on or before March 22.It’s worth 100 Points.
